Summer Season

Offense/Defense Clinic is designed for players who want to develop in the positions of forwards and defensemen. Sessions will be designed for players to learn skills that pertain to forwards and defense but also incorporate hockey sense into the drills. All sessions are for both offense and defense players looking to develop into well rounded players that understand both sides of the ice. Sessions will be run by the BYH Hockey Director and/or BYH Travel Staff.

These sessions will focus on skill development, power skating, or coaches choice. They will alternate each week giving players a chance to continue their practice over the summer months, ultimately giving them more confidence for game settings and helping them grow as players. Sessions will be run by the BYH Hockey Director and/or BYH Travel Staff. 

Goalie sessions will focus on the basic fundamentals of goaltending. Each session will incorporate fundamental, situational, and reaction drills. More advanced students will incorporate multiple variables to similar drills and situations. Emphasis will be placed on learning content and context of goaltending as well as the mental side of being successful as a goalie on the team. BYH's Goalie Coach, Steve Somerfield, will run the Goalie Clinics. Steve played at various levels including Juniors, college level at ISU, CHL (Bloomington Blaze), as well as the AHL (Peoria Rivermen).

All players moving up to 14U, including goalies, are encouraged to complete a checking clinic before they participate in games at the 14U Bantam level with body checking.
